In the company of someone filled with thankfulness and appreciation, my chin is up, I inhale deeply, and I see endless possibilities. In contrast, a bitter, angry manner can make me clinch my jaw, hunch my shoulders, and stare at my shoes. This verse is our gum for today, chew often. Let’s spread an attitude of gratitude and stop the power of the sour.

Where is God today as you stretch your back, square your shoulders, step into your shoes? Within the newness of the dawn, the pause between moments, the air of hope, God is here. Invite Him into the ache, into the questions, into the dreaded places. God brings healing oil to light your day, mend your wounds, clear your head. Stop, look, listen. Trust God loving you.

One nation under God; thirteen colonies, now fifty states. As individuals we are flawed, as a group we lack perfection, and yet we have the freedom to continue working and fighting for liberty. This has been God’s loving provision, an answer to prayer, for two hundred thirty three years. Today as soldiers fight, pray for them, pray for our nation, our neighbors and thank God

Thank you, Lynn and Tania for the birthday greetings, gifts and good wishes. I’m really enjoying the week. Debbie flew out to be with us this week so I have family with me now. Tomorrow We’re getting together with Dan’s two daughters and we’ll celebrate at a restaurant in Chico for a while. Then Dan and I will take Debbie out to the Brewery, the place where we had our first date and share the ambiance with her. All is going well.

Dan is starting to feel a little stronger every day but the recovery is slow. It’s hard to watch such a vibrant and dynamic guy go through this. Still, we’re praising God and trusting him for a full recovery. I’m thinking it’s gallstones, but we’ll have to wait and see.

God bless your week, dear friends. :loveya:

Last Thursday Dan’s doctor gave us the results of Dan’s blood and urine tests which were drawn last Monday. The results revealed numbers that were not consistent with flu. His white blood cell count was only slightly elevated. Based on his symptoms of belly ache, loss of appetite, fever, weakness, full feeling and the test results, Dr. Casey thinks the problem may be sludge or stones in his gallbladder. A bland diet was recommended for now and on May 15 there will be scans made for of his gallbladder that should tell us a lot more. We’ve been busy looking up gallbladder information on the Internet and learning the best diet for an upset gallbladder.

In the mean time I think I’m going to try to move that testing closer because he continues to struggle with fever in the afternoons and evenings, chills and shaking, and seems terribly weak.

Thank you for your prayers and concerns.
